Gucci Slides
The iconic Gucci slide that everyone had to have in 2020. Influenced by pop culture and rap lyrics, these slides were seen as the being at the top of the slides-pyramid. These slides arguably started the whole Designer Slides movement ! They look super cool and are super recognizable but they do have just one draw back. The draw back is that the design is a bit too simple, the foot strap is all rubber making it very hard to walk in for large periods of time. Not because of comfort but because rubber on skin causes blistering. Lots of reviews stated that customers had developed bad blistering on the tops of their feet and wished the toe strap had some kind of cushion underneath rather than just rubber. BUT if you plan on wearing socks with these or you aren’t going to walk too much at a time, then the rubber strap shouldn’t be a concern for you. These Slides go for $400 USD.
Prada Soft Logo Slides
An elegant option for the ladies is the Prada Soft Logo Slide. These slides are all rubber all around, but unlike the Gucci slides, the strap on the Prada is ergonomically shaped to prevent rubbing and blisters. It is also a platform style slide with a thick comfortable sole. They come in three solid colors: Black, Red, and Yellow. The Birkenstock Kyoto is a very ergonomic sandal with a stiff sole. But in this case, stiff doesn’t mean uncomfortable. In fact it means the exact opposite. Birkenstock prides themselves on the ergonomics and feeling of their shoes and there have even been studies done that these shoots promote foot health. It features a very comfortable and wide suede strap that is velcro adjustable. In our opinion it is one of the most comfortable options in existence when it comes to slides. These sandals sell for $150-$220 USD.
Burberry Furley Check Slides
Here is another traditional slide option. The Burberry Furley Check Slide is elegant and recognizable with the the Burberry pattern printed across the strap. It is all rubber but has a unique dive down right where your toes go. This ergonomic shape is supposed to assist in keeping your slides on your feet while you walk without having to curl your toes every step to keep them on. it also adds a bit for comfort. Not a huge deal but definitely nice that Burberry tried to do something to justify that $390 USD Price tag.
Givenchy Slide Sandals
The Givenchy slide, similar to Burberry, went the traditional route with a branded strap. And also like the Burberry, they tried to mold an ergonomic sole to try to add some extra comfort. But this slide is rubber all the way around and making it waterproof and perfect for pool or beach days. These slides come in multiple colors and sell for $295 USD.
Balenciaga Pool Slide Sandal
The Balenciaga Pool Slide comes in an array of bright and earthy colors. Something about the bright colors they use add a modern and playful vibe. They are all rubber all the way around and sport the Balenciaga name in black across the strap. These sell for $395-$445.
Yeezy Slide
The Yeezy Slide by Kanye West is anything but traditional. They come in earth colors and a big round rubber cloud like shape. They are said to be insanely comfortable. And it is worth noting that these have oddly been proven to be insanely durable. They are comfortable enough to be worn on long distances and durable enough to be worn at the beach and pool.
